Named after my kids.
I'm Matthew. Teal Studios is a one-person digital shop based in Ventura County, California. I build and maintain modern websites, web apps, and iOS apps for local businesses — the kind of place your neighbors already recommend, but whose digital presence doesn't quite match.
The name comes from my two kids. My daughter Navy. My son Hunter. Mix Navy blue with Hunter green and you get teal. So that's the studio — equal parts theirs, equal parts mine, and a daily reminder of who I'm working for.
Why I do this
I started Teal Studios because I kept watching local businesses in my own neighborhood — the bakery my wife and I get coffee from, the barber I take Hunter to, the vet who saved our dog — all crush it in reviews while losing customers to a broken web presence.
They didn't need an agency. They didn't need a $50,000 platform. They needed real, modern software — a website to capture the search traffic, a booking app to skip the phone tag, sometimes an iOS app with their name on the App Store. And they needed someone who'd answer the phone when something needed changing.
That's the whole pitch. Custom-coded sites, apps, and tools. Predictable monthly. A real person who picks up.

Free audit (15 min)
We walk through your Google listing, current site (if any), and where the gaps are. You leave with concrete next steps whether you hire me or not.

Mockup, then build (1–2 weeks)
I design two homepage directions, you pick one, then I build the whole site. You see staged progress every few days.

Launch + ongoing (forever, until you say stop)
Once live, your monthly covers hosting, security patches, and content updates. Hours roll over month to month — no use-it-or-lose-it.
